1. Syntheri Rocks

This place rocks, It is a 300-ft tall monolith granite. To the side of the rock is a small waterfall, which adds to the beauty of this place. You need to ride on the muddy road for around 2 km from highway to reach this place. Along the steps different stones with their names are displayed, very informative.

Let's begin with the history of this place. This place was discovered by British Engineer and is named after him. The place offers spectacular view of River Kali and it's way through the dense Jungle. A must visit place on your trip to Dandeli.
Important: You need to take permission from KPCL security office near Sykes point. KPCL (Karnataka Power Corporation Limited) operates a power station near Sykes point, so you need to take their permission.
3. Kali Tiger Reserve
Originally this national park was called as Anshi National Park. The sanctuary is house to Bengali Tigers, black panthers and Indian elephants.The river Kali is the flows through the park and is life line of the reserve. Click here to find out more about the reserve.
4. Shiroli Peak

It is the highest peak in Uttara Kannada district, Located at 25 km from Dandeli, the place offers spectacular views of Sahyadri range. It is in Anshi national park, the safari ends at this point. Many people suggested that this peak provides splendid views of Sunset.
5. Kavala Caves

Basically this cave if formed by volcanic eruptions, and is made up of Limestone. The trek to this place is quite long, it is 4 km through the thick Jungle. What's more interesting is there is a naturally formed Shivalinga(A statue of Hindu God) and the water pours from the limestone cave. Lime water/calcium compound solution drips just like milk on any Shivlinga (Called as Kshera-Abhisheka).
6. Molangi
Situated amidst the dense forest, this place is perfect spot for out door activity. The river Kali flows through the rocks. One can spend time watching the spiders, and the bamboo trees.
7. Ganeshgudi Dam(Supa Dam)

Located in the Joida district, the dam is mainly built for the purpose of electricity generation. It is constructed across the Kali river.
There is no entry to the Dam premises, you can view it from security post. Security post is very near to the dam. When the gates are open the dam offers spectacular views. If you happen to be here in rainy season then visit this place else not recommended. Click here to know more about the dam.
How to Reach Dandeli?
By Air: The nearest airport is at Hubli, 73 km away from Dandeli
By Train: The nearest railway Station is at Alnavar, 35 km away from Dandeli
By Road: Well connected to Hubli, Belgaum, Dharwad.
Recommended way of transport:
Hubli is well connected to other major cities in India. Reach Hubli, by air or rail or by road then hire a cab to Dandeli. There is less public transport facility, so hire a Cab for the entire stretch of your trip to Dandeli. or you can drive yourself to Dandeli.
